The Fifth Season

The Fifth Season is both a positive review of the church and a satirical look at the politics which sometimes make their way into churches. For the religious and unreligious alike, The Fifth Season will challenge your thinking, break down stereotypes and move you from laughter to tears.

REV. TIM DONOVAN: Pastor of a large and successful church, surrounded by people all the time, but still lonely. A man who has no one to share his problems with because he’s supposed to have all the answers.
MARTY: Tim’s friend who does not believe in Christianity. He can’t stand those “miserable Christians with their pasted smiles and their pointed fingers.”
RACHEL: A young policewoman who meets pastor Donovan by giving him a speeding ticket. An ambitious woman who desires to become a minister herself in a world which won’t ordain women, she joins Donovan’s church despite the fact that he and his congregation seem to have “all the spirituality of a doorknob.”
