In the year 1995, Paul Casey’s life is interrupted by an angel who wants to save his marriage from divorce. Claiming that his relationship of 20 years was a major mistake made by a young kid who didn’t know any better, Paul challenges the angel to release him from his marriage vows. Instead, Paul is given a chance to travel back through time to his college days in l975, meet his wife as before, and break off the engagement. Paul goes back in time and finds himself falling in love with his wife all over again.
The underlying theme is an examination of our sinful human nature and the ability of young couples to cover up their “darker sides” during the early years of romance, setting themselves up for possible disillusionment later on.
