National Review contributor Mike Fredenburg joins Bob to dispel the notion that America is based upon nothing but an evil founding due to its history of slavery.
While slavery was a horrible institution, many of our forefathers did not own slaves. Some who did, such as Jefferson and Washington, experienced great pangs of conscience and personal conflict over the issue. Finally, it was because so many Americans realized that we were not living up to the principals of our Constitution that slavery was ended. This ending of slavery is a credit to our Constitution and our founding.
This discussion begins about one-third of the way into the program and then continues until the end of the broadcast.
