Film critic Mark Bubien joins Bob to explore the theme of artificial intelligence in science fiction, going through the history of plays, books and films that explored the subjects of robots or self aware computers.

Beginning with the old play R.U.R. Mark shows how this same theme repeats itself in so many classic, popular movies and television shows.

Comments are offered about Metropolis, 2001, Terminator, The Matrix, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Blade Runner, I Robot, Robo Cop, Stepford Wives, Battlestar Galactica, Lost in Space, Star Trek, Star Wars and others.

Also discussed: Hollywood’s tendency to make remakes, sequels, and the latest hybrid, the remake/sequel (Jurassic World, Vacation).
