The year is 1996. A woman is asked to discontinue her Sunday School class due to her same-sex lifestyle. In response, she defies the idea of separation between church and state and files a lawsuit against the church. With the courtroom as a platform, the practice of homosexuality is debated.
Bob Siegel wrote this drama 20 years ago, performing it around the country. It was designed to promote respectful conversation and received enthusiastic audience response, even from people whose viewpoints were challenged. The play was also a warning about how gay activism might someday limit religious freedom. With all that is going on today, Bob’s entertaining, yet thought provoking drama is now more relevant than ever!
These days, some feel the need to demonize those with homosexual struggles. Others feel compelled to endorse the lifestyle as politically correct. Closets, Kings, and Other Points of View challenges people to sit down and honestly discuss this volatile issue in a civil manner without all the name calling and stereotyping.
