Should Satire Be Forbidden When It Talks About Islam?

Bob discusses the shootings of Paris magazine satirists/cartoonists and takes a stand for freedom of speech. He also comments on whether Muslim terrorists are “hijacking and distorting a peaceful religion” or merely obeying commands clearly written in the Koran.

Co-host Greg Jarvis joins Bob for the remainder of the program talking about proper Christian reactions to terrorism and other forms of  evil.

The two sides of the gospel are highlighted in the context of a Christian’s responsibility:

1) A responsibility to tell people that  through Jesus we can be forgiven from our own sin

2) A responsibility to speak about a God who wants to also deliver us from the effects of other people’s sin. While such deliverance will ultimately not take place until we get to Heaven, Christians are, in the meantime, commanded to speak out against evil.
