Hillary Clinton, adding salt to the wound of Obama’s lawsuit against Arizona, is reporting the Grand Canyon State to the United Nations Human Rights Commission for daring to enforce the American Constitution. Sweet! After all, the United Nations is such a wonderful example of justice, strength, wisdom, and consistency. By all means: Let us take our moral cues form this paragon of virtue and while we’re at it, rejoice over those U.S. judges who believe the Constitution should be subjected to international law anyway. That will be a last card to play, when we decide as a society that their “interpretations” are really arrogant disdain for our founding document. You see, the real law gets in the way of all these other laws they want to just make up.
Let me be as clear as I possibly can: I do not accept the moral authority of the United Nations. And what I mean by that is………I do not accept the moral authority of the United Nations. For the record, the United Nations has a rather checkered history, selecting Syria for its Security Council and seriously considering Iran for their Human Rights Council. Hmm. How does the treatment of women in Iran demonstrate liberty in the Middle East? Maybe as an alternative to being stoned to death for disobeying their husbands, they get barraged with dirt clods instead. Or perhaps, rebellious women are spared the penalty of an amputated hand by losing only a few fingers.
This is Bob Siegel, making the obvious, obvious.
