New York City’s latest $100 million project in the wings is a thirteen story Muslim Mosque that would loom proudly in the vicinity of Ground Zero, actually replacing a building that was ruined during the horrific attack.
The justifications for this latest round of sheer stupidity and indecency toward the families of some three-thousand 9/11 victims murdered in cold blood would be funny if they were not so tragic. Here’s my favorite: “Building a mosque on this site might help improve relations between Muslims and Americans.”
Oh really? Well, let me offer a better idea: Our relations will be repaired on the day Saudi Arabia allows just one church or synagogue in its country. Or maybe if something akin to the Holocaust museum were constructed by “the many peaceful Muslims” with a statement about how disgusting 9/11 was and how true Muslims were going to speak out against, not only terrorists, but all Sharia Law and all suppression of Christians, Jews, woman, and homosexuals in Muslim lands, then yes, perhaps relations might be improved.
Meanwhile, the Imam slated to head this mosque is Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, a great humanitarian who has gone on record to claim that the September 11th attack was not the work of Muslims. Indeed, he explained to CNN that the United States was “an accessory to the crime” and that Usama bin Laden was “made in the United States.”
Here’s a little more about Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf
From Blitz May 20, 2010
Back in 2004, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf was invited to speak in Sydney, Australia, by Premier Bob Carr. According to an article that was published at the time in the Sydney Morning Herald, Imam Rauf stated, “The U.S. and the West must acknowledge the harm they have done to Muslims before terrorism can end.” Published on March 21, 2004, the article quoted the Imam from New York. “Speaking from his New York mosque, Imam Feisal said the West had to understand the terrorists’ point of view.” Rauf further stated, “The Islamic method of waging war is not to kill innocent civilians. But it was Christians in World War II who bombed civilians in Dresden and Hiroshima, neither of which were military targets.”
So much for recent history. Some ancient history is also in order:
From Robert Spencer, Why There Should Be No Mosques at Ground Zero
“The placement of mosques throughout Islamic history has been an expression of conquest and superiority over non-Muslims. Muslims built the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock on the site of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem in order to proclaim Islam’s superiority to Judaism. The Umayyad Mosque in Damascus was built over the Church of St. John the Baptist, and the Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Constantinople was converted into a mosque, to express the superiority of Islam over Christianity. Historian Sita Ram Goel has estimated that over 2,000 mosques in India were built on the sites of Hindu temples for the same reason.”
Listen, my friend: You can try to ignore this. You can keep telling yourself how peaceful a religion Islam is. Maybe you have Muslim friends who insist this proposed eyesore means nothing more than a place of worship. Maybe they are telling you what they sincerely believe to be the truth. Maybe, they themselves are being deceived. Or maybe they are trying to deceive you since Mohammad taught that it was OK to lie in a time of war. (See link below.) Whatever they say, for whatever reason, doesn’t matter. Here’s what matters: While our country pats itself on the back for its Politically Correct sensitivity, the mosque at Ground Zero will serve as a sign of victory to many MANY Muslims all over the world. It will particularly embolden Muslim terrorists who view our country as weak for allowing the thing to be constructed. That’s right, the very people whom you are bending over backward to respect, do not respect you. They plan to exploit you. They plan to rule over you. At that time, if you do not obey them, they plan to kill you. You may believe whatever you wish. But in your naivety, you are ignoring what THEY believe. It’s just that simple. Oh yes. One more question: Why was such an audacious project even attempted in the wake of 9/11? Because the P.C. climate of our country showed Muslims they could get away with it. Will our country wake up before it is too late? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, the plans for the mosque continue and happy chanting is heard throughout the world.
