Morality: Consistent and Inconsistent Responses

jesus cross

In the wake of so many overwhelming news events regarding violent tragedy and sexual scandal, Co-host Jim Berrier joins Bob for a discussion exploring the many valid questions about appropriate/inappropriate Christian response. This includes an explanation of the two sides of the Gospel; the good news that we can be delivered/forgiven from sin we commit and the good news that God wants to deliver us from the effects of other people’s sins!

Questions include:

-Should Christians be offering “spiritual advise” when somebody is mourning the loss of a loved one?

-Where is the balance between believing the claims of a victim (acknowledging their understandable fears of coming forward sooner) with the notion  that the accused is innocent until proven guilty?

-Can there be any objective morality apart from a God who programmed a conscience into human DNA?

-Would not the belief (held by atheists) that we exist according to randomness and chance, by definition, make us moral relativists?

-Does anybody live consistently as a moral relativist?

-Does the left hold their own politicians up to the same moral standards as Republicans or conservatives?
